Terribilis est locus iste

Here is a guided tour of one of my favorite places in the whole world.
The Terribilis est locus iste... My basement. Part bar, part studio, part
trophy room.

Here is the secret and hidden entrance to the terrible place. The daiquiri machine, tarot cards and improvised "mini bar" should fill the visitor with a slight sensation of wonder and dread.

The ominous steps descending into the cavern is also a cover gallery of my comics.

I picked this taxidermied bird foot wall hook up at an antique store. Although it is vulgar and aggressive I knew it was destined to be mine. On the floor is draped the dead skin of a black cow. It is the sweetest rug in the world.  Looking skyward you can see my two broken skateboard decks (1992-1994) nailed to the ceiling.

These patches were collected by my grandfather, I picked out the ones that were personally significant to me and put them in the first row. The rest were picked because they are neat looking. The uniform is sagging a little and sometimes I can't believe I fit into it. Above that are old army photos. Both of them happen to be of my track an APC M113A3, officially known as C28, unofficially it was called "The Thug". Driving this piece of machinery was one of the defining moments of my life.

A giant poster of my graphic novel fills this picture. This was printed to be at my table at the Pittsburgh Comic-con to support the Graphic Novel back in 2004. In the center there is one of the only surviving copies of the September '04 Pittsburgh City paper interview where I bared my soul. There is a pic of my and a good friend Shane after the painted rock incident in the California desert. Next to that there is a mailer for my 2005 art Show Gnosis Of The Pilgrim. Directly to the right are some collected post cards; Cleveland, 3 rivers stadium and Seattle...
All places I used to live.

An old event staff (Jell-O-head) shirt mirrored by a picture of me on the field at 3 rivers with the Broncos in the Background. Everyone's favorite supervisor shirt. The first "Threat" shirt, the pic is of my at one of the shows during a weapons match.  The second "Threat" shirt, if you could see the picture next to it, it is my getting slammed into barbed wire. My Jonny Axx wrestling shirt, next to it is my champion picture. And finally an old green t-shirt I got in the army and it is one of the two t shirts I wore in my barbed wire street fight with Chris Cole.

The green helmet is my CVC helmet from my days as a track driver. The shirt is the actual shirt I wore when I lost the MCW title in a barbed wire fight to Chris Cole. Probably one of the best matches I ever worked in my whole life.

Fully implemented Bar, dual Booze spinners, stocked mini fridge and my giant cat's ass. What else do you need?

The pictures are starting from the top: Hedge and I at Jim Morrison's grave, Johnson, Hart, and I in Spain, and my doctorate Degree.

On the coat rack is my old Army web gear, One of the Event Staff Flight jackets pilfered in New Orleans at the Super Bowl in 2001, my old classic leather which was a gift from my Grandfather.

Here is a storage shelf with Frames and tools and old wrestling gimmicks. On the wall hangs my prized Gadsden flag. This one matches the one I fly outside my house.

My studio desk, inside that Kinkos box behind Edgar sits the editing proof of The Djinn Jihad.

Here is my demonic computer nook.
